Getting Here
Directions
GPS Works!
Turn-by-turn directions are available upon request, but GPS is pretty accurate. We recommend you print or take a screen shot of the directions before heading up the mountain, as cell service can be spotty.
There are a couple sharp turns and the road is windy, but take it slow and you’ll sail-in with ease.
1784 Blue Ridge Rd. Sevierville, TN 37876
Parking
Parking is available in the driveway in front of the cabin. It can easily accommodate two vehicles. It’s a gravel driveway, but the entire road to the cabin is paved.
How-To Guides
To open: Enter the ten digit code and turn the latch. Ten digits, are you crazy? You can create an easy-to-remember 3-6 digit Personalized Code. Here’s how…
1. Choose a 3-6 digit Personalized Code to use during your stay. Got one?
2. Enter your original 10-digit Access Code.
3. After hearing the tone and while the [SCHLAGE] oval button is flashing green, immediately press the [SCHLAGE] button and key-in the 3-6 digit Personalized Code of your choice, then press the [SCHLAGE] button to finalize your Personalized Code. You did it!
Note:
a. Each digit must be entered within 10 seconds.
b. If your Personalized Code has been used by another, you will hear the descending tone and see the [SCHLAGE] button flashing red. In this case, try a new Personalized Code.
c. When locked, knob spins freely.
To unlock using your Personalized Code:
1. Enter your new code.
2. Press the [SCHALGE] button at the top of the lock.
3. Turn the latch to unlock the door.
To lock from the outside:
1. Close the door.
2. Press the Schlage button (at the top of the lock).
3. Pull door towards you (sometimes it sticks) and turn the latch to the right until it locks. Easy!
Enter the Wrong Code?
The lock will enter an inactive state for 30 seconds after entering a wrong code 3 times in a row. After :30 sec, the next wrong code will make the lock enter the inactive state for another 30 seconds.

Do you see the pilot light?
Yes? Great, just give the timer dial a turn (located to the right) to activate the fireplace. No? No prob. It’s an easy fix. Keep reading. *If you’re not comfortable performing the following steps, please call me: 818-452-3760How to Light the Pilot Light
1. Push in Gas Control Knob slightly and turn control knob clockwise/right to the OFF position. Make sure Timer Dial is at 0/OFF.2. Wait 5 minutes to clear out any gas. Then smell for gas, including near the floor. If you smell gas STOP! Don’t smell gas? Continue…
3. From OFF position, push in Gas Control Knob slightly and turn counterclockwise/left to PILOT. Push in and hold control knob for 5 sec.
4. With the Control Knob pushed in, push and release the ignitor button to light pilot. You may need to push it a couple times.
5. Hold the Control Knob in for an additional 30 seconds to prevent the pilot from shutting off. In some cases, you may need to hold it for longer (up to :60 seconds).
6. Release the Control Knob. If pilot won’t stay lit after several tries, push & turn the Gas Control Knob clockwise to OFF and wait :15 sec. and repeat these steps.
7. If it does stay lit, push in Control Knob and turn counterclockwise/left to the ON position. Wait :60 seconds…
8. Turn Timer Dial on right to light fireplace. Enjoy the dancing flames!
The thermostat is located on the wall behind couch and is easy to use!
-Push the ‘Mode’ button to select ‘Heat’ or ‘Cool’.
-Use the Arrow Buttons on the right to set the perfect temperature.
-Leave ‘Schedule’ set to Off and ‘Fan’ set to ‘Auto’.
Please turn OFF thermostat when you leave cabin during the day.
Don’t run AC and Fireplace at the same time.
Use the control panel on the hot tub, not on the wall.
-Press ‘Jets’ to turn on jets.
-Press ‘Light’ to turn on light.
-Adjust temperature by using the Up & Down Arrows.
*If water doesn’t come out of jets, try turning both knobs to the right next to the control panel.
-IMPORTANT RULES-
-NO soap products in the hot tub. If we detect soap residue, you will lose security deposit and could be liable for repairs.
-Don’t set the temp higher than 104. Set to 96 when you check-out.
-Remember, it does take a while to heat the water. Turning up the heat past 103 doesn’t speed the process. Please allow at least an hour to heat the water to 102-103 from 96.
-Cover when not in use and while heating.
-Use hot tub responsibly and at your own risk.
Not heating? Jets not working?
To diagnose the problem:
-Do you hear any noise from the hot tub or see any water coming out of the jets?
-Is the small display screen on?
If NO, please try a system reset. There’s a breaker box next to hot tub. Make sure you’re dry and not standing in water before touching breaker. Turn off the breaker. Wait :30 sec & turn back on.
Usually, this resets the system and the hot tub will start heating again. To expedite the process, make sure to keep the cover on.
Jets still not working?
-Is the water level above the jets? If not, use hose to fill hot tub.
Sometimes the hot tub can become air-locked. This sometimes happens during refilling of the hot tub. Air gets pushed into the jets and then into the pipes. Something my hot tub guy recommends:
1) Turn off the breaker to the hot tub (located next to hot tub). Make sure you’re dry before touching breaker box.
2) Remove the filter cartridge from hot tub. You may need to unscrew it.
3) Take the hose (located on wall near bathroom door) and push it down into the hole at the bottom of the filter area and turn on full blast. Make sure to hold on to the hose so it doesn’t “jump out”.
4) Turn breaker on…while continuing to run hose. A two person job…unless you have really long arms. 🙂
5) Turn on jets
6) Replace filter
Something else that always works, but is less convenient: time. Usually, the air works its way out of the system overnight.
Please keep me posted. I’m happy to call my hot tub guy, if need be. BUT, guests have had success with the above steps. Again, sorry for the inconvenience!
Cabin Rules
1) Check-in is any time after 4 PM. Check-out is 11 AM. 2) Guests must be 21+ to make the booking. 3) No parties, no events and no outside visitors or overnight guests that are not stated on the reservation. 4) This cabin accommodates TWO people only. If you have a larger group, you'll definitely be more comfortable in a larger cabin. 5) No smoking inside the cabin. A violation of this policy will result in charging your security deposit in full. Go outside for a smoke & save the money for a nice dinner! 6) Animals are not allowed on this property. We're trying to maintain an allergy-free space for future guests. Violating this policy will result in charging your security deposit in full and increased cleaning fees. 7) No soap in the hot tub. You will be charged for repairs if soap residue is detected. Take a bubble bath in the indoor tub. Cover & latch when not in use. Use hot tub responsibly and at own risk. 8) This cabin has quiet hours after 10pm. The bears & neighbors thank you! 9) Use black makeup towels and avoid a $15 white towel replacement fee. Also, there are rags under the kitchen sink to clean shoes and other messes. Avoid the fee and use these. 10) Please make sure fireplace is OFF anytime you leave the cabin. DON'T run AC and Fireplace at the same time. This could damage the AC & you'll be charged for the repair. No fun! 11) If the cabin is left overly messy, we'll need to charge an extra $30 cleaning fee. 12) Since it's a mountain vacation you're after, in addition to all the great aspects, just know it also includes: curvy mountain roads, bugs, bears, snowy/icy winter days, poor cell service. It's all manageable, though. You can handle it! 13) No refunds for bad weather conditions. Please check the weather report before booking and dates of travel. In the winter, chains may be required. Occasionally, the mountain roads aren't drivable due to ice and snow. Please monitor the weather forecast. 14) Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises. Guests recognize they may personally purchase insurance to protect themselves in such events.
